AABANY’s 2023 theme was “Embracing Wellness and Well-Being – Strengthening the Legal Profession by Investing in Ourselves.” In line with that theme, AABANY held its inaugural Wellness Day. Please see the 2023 Wellness Day website and AABANY Blog post for a summary of last year’s schedule, speakers, and sponsors.
With the pandemic, anti-Asian hate, and stress of life and the legal profession, prioritizing wellness and well-being is critical. AABANY hopes to help destigmatize mental health and personal or professional challenges and highlight the importance of mental health and self-care.
Among the topics at this year’s Wellness Day are:
– Stress, burnout and fear
– How to be resilient and open to change
– Depression and finding a support group and resources
– How to prioritize wellness and well-being while focusing on your career
